Castor Oil for Beautiful Hair
This oil is another gift from Mother Nature. Traditionally it's been used for hair treatments.Castor oil can be used for any hair type. It's a blessing for split ends and thinning hair, as well as for afros, (being very dry) , and so it stands out from so many other oils.
The main component of castor oil is ricinoleic acid, known for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, which helps preventing hair loss, while high levels of omega oils help strengthen the hair follicle. Use it pure or mix it in with other beauty products, it will help revitalize and protect your hair.
You shouldn't underestimate castor oil’s positive effects for your hair. We recommend mixing it in with your usual organic conditioner. Or making your own hair serum, especially for dry hair.
For dry hair or split ends dab a little on your fingertips and run it through them.
Use it pure or diluted with coconut oil in equal parts. Melt the coconut oil and add castor oil and mix. Next, using thin comb or a hair dye brush apply it, starting from the root to the tips. Let it work it’s magic for at least two hours. Better yet, let your new hair-hero spend the night.
Eyelashes and Eyebrows: Use a cotton swab, or simply with your fingertips, apply the castor oil directly to the desired area.
- The quantities of castor and coconut oil vary, depending on the length and thickness of your hair.
- Castor oil is quite thick, so a thin layer is all you need for your eyebrows and eyelashes.
- If you decide to sleep with the castor mask on, protect your pillowcase with an old towel.
